About our face masks

Grin And Bear Face masks are designed to be a balance of fun and functionality.

Apart from the fresh designs, the masks have a number of features:

Washable & Re-usable

It's important that you don't re-use a mask. That's because if they come into contact with anything you don't want to catch that can stay on the surface and trapped in the microfibre. Washing kills most viruses, including corona - for more on how to wash, please see our articles on washing your mask.

You can re-use your mask over and over, just make sure you've washed it first!

Filter pocket

Each mask has a filter pocket. These will fit the PM 2.5 Activated Carbon filters or any of a similar size. These help to protect against air pollution and particulates such as sulfates, nitrates, ammonia, carbon monoxide and heavy metal particles. Please note these DO NOT give you additional protection for COVID-19.

Adjustable Nose wire & Adjustable bands

It's really important that a mask fits your face. The masks include a wire so that you can contour the fit of the mask to your nose. This helps hold the mask closer to your face so there's less gap between your face and the mask. It's important to stop air getting in around the sides of the mask rather than not going through the material itself.

2 Layers of soft micro fibre

The two layers of soft micro fibre create a separate inner layer and outer layer giving an extra level of protection.

Please note! This is a non-medical mask
The product is not intended to act as a medical device or other medical product, and should not be used as a replacement for conventional and approved personal protective equipment, including surgical masks or respirators.

CDC suggests wearing face cloth coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. This additional safety measure helps protect others in case you have coronavirus, but don't show any symptoms.

You should still follow other protective measures as well, and closely follow the latest recommendations from public health officials and CDC to make an informed decision about the use of these masks.
